Published by And Tradition, Rely is a collection of seating with eco-friendly origins. For his design, Hee Welling spent a year researching the perfect material. The simple appearance of Rely and its ergonomic design embody the fusion of minimalism and practicality. The modern hull of Rely is made entirely from recycled plastic. The latter is available in a range of contemporary colours. The inventive recycling process set up by the designer recovers post-industrial waste. Once it is crushed into small pieces, the colour is mixed in and then the material is prepared for injection moulding. Clearly, sustainable development is a priority. Starting with the chair, Hee Welling and And Tradition have developed a complete range of seating, including a small armchair version, high stool – with high or low back – , but also different bases and a wide choice of upholstery options.
