The Series 7 chairs, designed by Arne Jacobsen in 1955, are by far the best-selling chairs in the history of manufacturer Fritz Hansen. Classics of design, they are part of our daily lives. A visionary, Arne Jacobsen exploited the possibilities of wood veneer and moulding, already used on the Ant chair in 1952, to arrive at the iconic shape of the Series 7. Lightweight and stackable, its soft and comfortable shape make it a prized addition in any space. Soft, Italian velvet makes the Series 7 Velvet Edition particularly luxurious. The legs are steel with a brown epoxy bronze finish for more nuance and subtle sophistication. The Series 7 Velvet Edition is available in 3 bright colours: Misty Pink, Autumn Red and Grey Blue.
