Jean Prouvé developed the EM Table for the « Maison Tropicale » project in the early 1950s. This table is the signature of constructive thinking right down to the smallest detail, and is anchored in the aesthetics of necessity. It is a perfect illustration of the interplay of different forces and static relationships, usually only found in buildings designed by engineers.
