Description
This creation by designer Richard Sapper was the very first kettle produced by Alessi in 1983. The 9091 kettle is made from 18/10 stainless steel, suitable for all heat sources, and has a melodic brass whistle and polyamide handle. The central element of this creation is the whistle, in the pipes of which are placed two choristers in E and B who, when the steam is released, produce a short, pleasant melody like the sound of a flute. Richard Sapper wanted to avoid the usual distressing sound produced by the kettles available on the market at the time. Following this poetic approach, he has created what is probably the first multi-sensory kitchen accessory.
