The Mexico coffee table was created in 1952 by Charlotte Perriand for the student rooms at the Cité Universitaire Internationale de Paris in Mexico. Published by Cassina, the Mexico coffee table stands out for its functionality as much as its elegance. Its triangular shape with rounded corners has been designed to take up as little space as possible in the room. The shape was also conceived as a way to combine several triangular tables, thus creating other shapes – squares or rectangles – and extending the area of use. The thick solid wood top of the Mexico coffee table by Cassina dégage brings a touch of natural elegance to the living room. Charlotte Perriand created a table that harmoniously meets the organisational requirements of the environments.
