Originally designed in 1957 and perfected over the years, the Libreria Pensile shelf was first produced by Bernini in 1966. Castiglioni wanted to keep the structure of the bookcase to a minimum, and decided to hang the shelves from nodes on two cables attached to a single point on the wall. 50 years after its launch, this shelving system is still going strong. Published today by Karakter, the Libreria Pensile shelf embodies elegance and lightness.
