Charlotte Perriand designed the Ombra Tokyo chair in 1954 in Japan on the occasion of the Synthèse des Arts exhibition. Inspired by Japanese tradition and origami, the chair is made from a single piece of plywood that takes its shape from the subtle folds. Reissued by Cassina, Ombra Tokyo is available in natural oak or black-stained oak. A true work of art, it is a light and sculptural chair in a dining room that can be stacked for added functionality.
