With Broom, Philippe Starck and Emeco have together created a collection of seating made from recycled and recyclable materials, designed to last. Broom is made from 75% recycled polypropylene and 15% recycled wood fibre that would otherwise have been waste. ‘Imagine’, says Philippe Starck, ‘a guy who takes a humble broom and starts to clean the workshop and with this dust he makes new magic. That’s why we call this chair Broom’. Broom is now also available as a counter stool and a bar stool. Published by Emeco, the Broom collection is made from recycled polypropylene and sawdust, and fibreglass. Broom chairs are also suitable for outdoor use.
