The Rely HW65 stacking chair edited by And Tradition has ecological origins. For his design, Hee Welling spent a year researching the perfect material. The simple appearance of the chair and its ergonomic design embody the fusion of minimalism and practicality. The modern Rely HW65 shell is made entirely from recycled plastic. The latter is available in a range of contemporary colours. The designer’s inventive recycling process involves recovering post-industrial waste. Once ground into small pieces, they are mixed with the new seat colour and prepared for injection moulding. Sustainability is placed at the heart of the design of the Rely HW65 stacking chair. If it ever needs to be repaired, the designer has simplified disassembly to extend its lifespan.Each of the Rely HW65 curves has been developed to provide optimum back support. Welling emphasises the importance of details for a balanced and harmonious result.
