Beetle is a series of seats edited by Gubi and inspired by the shape of the beetle. The low armchair version, Beetle Lounge, consists of two upholstered shells that form the seat and backrest. The slightly conical legs are made of black epoxy coated steel or brass. The elegant shape of the seat is emphasised by leather or fabric piping. GamFratesi studio’s creations embody the union of Italian design with Danish sobriety. Contrasts are often the key to the inspiration of this duo who work with a purely Scandinavian artisanal approach, simple and functional, but always with a strong concept and story, integrated in each of their creations.
