Designed by Ray and Charles Eames, the Aluminium Group office chair is one of the biggest design creations of the 20th century. The main feature of the Vitra range is its clever assembly of materials to achieve maximum comfort: the cladding is fixed and stretched over the side aluminium profiles, resulting in a load-bearing component in the structure. The Aluminium Group has been studiously designed to fit the form of the human body. This office chair has an adjustable back tilt mechanism and can be locked in the forward position. The seat height is infinitely adjustable thanks to a gas spring. The backrest and seat are padded and upholstered in black or brown leather. The frame is made of die-cast aluminium. The base is equipped with 5 black castors. Its 50 years of existence make it a design classic.
