Description
First shown in 1955 at the Synthèse des Arts exhibition in Tokyo, the tabouret 524 Berger is part of a series based on the reinterpretation of local Alpine architecture. Charlotte Perriand, inspired by simple materials and elemental forms, creates a stylised version of the classic milking stool. The tabouret Berger, both simple and robust in solid wood, is available in natural oak, black-stained oak or natural American walnut. Reissued by Cassina, 524 Berger can be paired with the tall version of the stool, Méribel, and used as a side table, at the end of a sofa for example.
