Ribbon is a collection of stools designed by Nendo in 2007 for the Italian manufacturer Cappellini. Available in low and high versions, it consists of laser-cut metal sheet structures made from a single sheet then folded and bent to create a continuous movement evoking twisted ribbons. This fluid silhouette, both light and structured, gives the stool a strong sculptural identity while ensuring excellent stability. Winner of prestigious design awards such as the Red Dot Award, the iF Product Design Award and the Furniture Design Award, Ribbon embodies the expertise and experimental approach of the studio led by Oki Sato. Available in matt white, red, black and mud lacquered finishes, it fits elegantly into all types of spaces, from the bedroom to the entrance or around a bar for the high version. For more comfort, the seat can be completed by a magnetic cushion, padded with polyurethane foam and dressed in leather or fabric.
