Linnut, ‘birds’ in Finnish, is a collection of fun, poetic lamps in a range of shapes and sizes. Inspired by the Birds blown glass range developed by Oiva Toikka for Iittala, the Linnut lamps are the result of a collaboration between these two names in design and the Italian brand Magis. The series is made of rotationally moulded polycarbonate with a finish that gives the surface the sophisticated look of blown glass. Designed as nomadic light sculptures, the Linnut are battery-powered, so no electric cable is needed. Innovative and practical, the Linnut lamp collection from Magis is equally at home outdoors to light up a dinner party or driveway, or indoors to accompany a child’s sleep or add a warm touch to the home.
